Dear Mrs Yeo,

How had you been recently? I miss you dearly and I believe the class will miss you too. Though you had left Kent Ridge for almost a year, thank you for making the effort to come down to school to teach a small group of us Social Studies. The skills you had taught us is very useful.

Social Studies and History mid year exams are round the corner. As each day passes, I begin to feel more and more uneasy and worry, maybe because I have not been revising these two subjects well enough to sit for the paper.

Between Social Studies and History, I prefer History lessons because during HIstory lessons we get to watch movies. Miss Heng had been showing us four movies as part of our revision. However, History is alot harder to understand and study. The textbook is really arduous. Surprisingly, the boys in our class treated history like a piece of cake. They are able to memorise the dates of the events happening and the terms of the words.

Though Social Studies lessons are more boring, however it is easier to revise because Social Studies is part of our life, such as healthcare in Singapore and terrorism.

There is a website that Miss Heng introduce to us for revision. The website is very interesting as there are games such as penalty shoot and swordman. By having these games, it tempts more students to try the games while answering the questions. Our class has been very focused and quiet in the computer laboratory when Miss Heng brought us in.

While preparing for our examinations, we also had to learn to schedule our timetable so that we can have enough sleep time and have efficient study time.
All in all, I hope that this message of mine will help you be more aware of our Social Studies and History lessons. Will be looking forward to seeing you soon and hope that you can receive our regards. Take care.
